Job Description

Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)

Location: Dallas, TX

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: Competitive Salary + Comprehensive Benefits Package

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and specialized Clinical Psychologist to join a premier interdisciplinary medical team in Dallas. This role is designed for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, hospital-based consult environment and possesses deep expertise in a specific sub-specialty (e.g., Palliative Care, Pain Management, Addictions, or Health Psychology).

You will not only provide advanced diagnostic assessments and evidence-based interventions but also serve as a departmental leader-shaping policy, developing treatment programs, and elevating the standard of patient-centered care across a large-scale hospital system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialized Clinical Practice: Conduct advanced psychological evaluations, diagnostic classifications, and crisis interventions for a diverse and complex patient population.

  • Consultation & Collaboration: Serve as a core member of an interdisciplinary team, providing expert consultation to medical providers and coordinating seamless transitions of care.

  • Program Leadership: Drive the design and implementation of treatment protocols and practice guidelines within your specialty area.

  • Clinical Excellence: Deliver evidence-based specialized treatments (EBSTs) while adapting communication for sensory impairments and the specific needs of geriatric populations.

  • Advocacy & Education: Act as a subject matter expert to the wider clinical community, promoting best practices and mental health integration in a medical setting.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain rigorous clinical records and ensure all practices adhere to state/federal laws and accreditation standards.

Candidate Requirements Education & Experience
  • Doctoral Degree: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.

  • Proven Expertise: Significant post-licensure experience.

  • Specialized Training: Must demonstrate a "breadth and depth" of training in a specific sub-specialty, typically through a dedicated fellowship, residency, or post-doctoral track.

Skills & Competencies
  • Clinical Proficiency: Mastery of basic psychological assessment, family systems, and developmental orientation.

  • Evidence-Based Focus: Formal training in EBSTs; board certification or specialty-specific certification is highly preferred.

  • Interpersonal Impact: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a "patient-centered" philosophy.

  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse populations; Spanish proficiency is a significant plus.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary based on sub-specialty expertise and years of experience. As a core member of our clinical team, you will receive a robust benefits package, including:

  • Health & Wellness: Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.

  • Retirement Security: Robust pension plan and 403(b) retirement savings options with employer matching.

  • Work-Life Balance: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual and paid hospital holidays.

  • Professional Development: Dedicated time and annual budget for Continuing Education (CE), professional memberships, and licensure maintenance.

  • Financial Protection: Life insurance, disability coverage, and flexible spending accounts (FSA).

Position Constraints
  • Permanent Candidates Only

  • No Visa Sponsorship: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
