We are seeking a hands-on Controller who thrives in fast-paced environments and is energized by building structure where it does not yet exist. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial visibility, scalability, and operational excellence across a multi-entity organization.

Focus:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, reporting, and month-end close processes
• Lead financial consolidation across multiple entities and business units
• Design and implement scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
• Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
• Partner with external auditors and advisors to support audit readiness and accuracy
• Develop actionable financial insights to guide strategic planning and capital allocation
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems to support continued growth
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team over time
• Maintain a hands-on approach, balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day execution

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Strong expertise in multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations
• Experience operating in multi-state environments with complex compliance requirements
• Background in project-based industries such as energy, construction, or infrastructure is highly valued
• Demonstrated success implementing or upgrading accounting systems
• Ability to operate effectively in high-growth, evolving environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
