Med-Trans Corporation, a leader in air medical transport services, is seeking a skilled Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support our modern fleet within the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. In this mission-critical role, you will help ensure that our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance so that clinical teams can provide life-saving care when it matters most. As a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will travel between assigned bases as operational needs require, performing line and scheduled maintenance on helicopters and/or fixed-wing aircraft used in air medical operations. You will conduct thorough inspections, troubleshoot complex discrepancies, and complete repairs on airframes, engines, avionics, and related systems, always complying with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and Med-Trans maintenance policies. You will review pilot write-ups and maintenance logs, perform root-cause analysis, and return aircraft to service with meticulous attention to detail and documentation. Working closely with pilots, flight paramedics, nurses, and operations staff, you will help maintain aircraft readiness for 24/7 emergency response. You will utilize maintenance tracking systems and technical manuals to plan and document work, ensure parts and tooling are correctly selected and handled, and uphold strict configuration control and quality assurance standards. Your work will include pre- and post-flight inspections, scheduled inspections, component changes, troubleshooting electrical and avionics issues, and responding to AOG (aircraft on ground) situations, sometimes under time-critical conditions. You should be prepared to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel between bases on short notice to support mission readiness.
