Med-Trans Corporation, a leader in air medical transport services, is seeking a meticulous and safety-focused Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support our Engineering & Maintenance team. In this role, you will help ensure our modern fleet of air medical aircraft remains mission-ready to deliver critical patient care. Operating within a safety-first, supportive culture, you will travel or “float” between assigned bases as needed, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on helicopters and/or fixed-wing aircraft used for emergency medical transport. Working closely with pilots, base leadership, and clinical teams, you will perform detailed inspections, diagnose mechanical and avionics issues, and complete corrective actions in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM guidance, and Med-Trans policies. You will use maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, and electronic tracking systems to document work performed, complete logbook entries, and support accurate configuration and airworthiness records. Your focus on safety, quality, and adherence to procedures will directly contribute to reliable aircraft availability and the highest standards of patient care. The Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform line maintenance, troubleshooting, and component replacement at various Med-Trans locations, sometimes under time-critical conditions to support mission readiness. You will coordinate with maintenance control and other technicians to plan and execute work scopes, participate in pre- and post-flight checks as required, and help identify and mitigate potential safety risks through proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective measures. A strong understanding of airframe and powerplant systems, basic avionics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and applicable regulations is essential.
