University Expectations Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Faithfully upholds Malone in prayer Participates in community worship as schedule permits Demonstrates behavior aligned with Malone’s Mission, Foundational Principles, Doctrinal Statement and its Community’s General Principles Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence Job Summary Supports the Wellness Center and Department of Exercise Science with program planning and implementation Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wellness Center Operations: Facility Supervision: Oversee daily operations of the workout facility, ensuring a safe and an inclusive environment for all members. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular safety checks and basic maintenance on cardio and strength equipment. Staff Leadership: Assist in scheduling and supervising undergraduate student workers Exercise Science Programming: Fitness Assessments: Conduct body composition testing, submaximal VO2 tests, and movement screenings. Personal Training: Develop and implement evidence-based exercise programs tailored Assist faculty with lab preparations or data collection for Exercise Science research projects. Promote wellness initiatives and workshops through campus outreach and social media. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of how to perform wellness assessments and develop wellness programming Strong communication skills, a firm understanding of exercise physiology, and a professional “customer-service” mindset. Physical Requirements: Ability to demonstrate proper exercise technique. A commitment to faith integration and character development Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or an advanced degree in exercise science Current CPR/AED certification required.
