Summary

As a key member of the AmerCable leadership team, the HR Manager leads the development and delivery of people strategies that directly advance business performance. Reporting to the VP, HR with a dotted line to the President, AmerCable, you will shape workforce planning, strengthen leadership capability, and guide the business through organizational change. This role drives recruitment, talent development, employee relations, compensation, and compliance for a 300-employee, multisite environmentensuring HR programs, processes, and insights enable AmerCable to meet its operational and growth objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Lead People Strategy including attraction, talent development, and succession planning
  • Strengthen employer branding in partnership with Corporate HR.
  • Implement talent development strategies, competency models, and leadership/organizational behavior programs.
  • People Strategy, Tools & Reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of HRIS and payroll data (SuccessFactors).
  • Deliver headcount reporting and workforce analytics, including turnover, absenteeism, and engagement insights.
  • Lead annual pulse survey analysis, action planning, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Policy, Compliance & HR Governance
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks; ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Monitor new legislation and recommend policy updates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to leaders on complex people-related issues.
  • Performance Management & Employee Relations
  • Guide leaders on coaching, performance conversations, and goal-setting.
  • Support timely completion of annual reviews and connect outcomes to succession, development, and compensation decisions.
  • Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Compensation & Total Rewards
  • Conduct compensation analysis to support market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Advise leaders on compensation decisions and partner with Total Rewards on job evaluations and benchmarking.
  • Career Development & Leadership Capability
  • Partner with senior leaders to assess leadership capability and build development and succession plans.
  • Support internal mobility, career progression, and leadership development programs.
  • Identify high-potential talent and enable their long-term growth.
  • General HR Operations & Business Partnership
  • Provide coaching and strategic guidance to leaders across the business.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, unemployment claims, workers' compensation, and immigration matters.
  • Conduct training sessions, employee presentations, and regular site visits to maintain strong engagement.
Qualifications

Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 6+ years of progressive HR experience Experience leading employee relations, performance management, and coaching leaders at all levels. Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices. Experience in a fast-paced, multisite environment; manufacturing/industrial experience preferred. Leadership experience (direct or indirect) strongly preferred. HRIS experience (SuccessFactors or similar). SHRM certification is an asset. Ability to travel up to 25%.
