3rd Shift 10pm-6am

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loader / Unloader to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient handling, loading, and unloading of goods within our warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining smooth operations, supporting inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery schedules. This position offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to a dynamic supply chain process, emphasizing safety, precision, and teamwork.

Duties

• Safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes.
• Assist with order picking and materials handling to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory movements precisely.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries.
• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate the movement of goods efficiently.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures.
• Assist in inventory counts and documentation to support accurate stock levels.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
• Experience with order picker technology like picker systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of construction or heavy machinery operation is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse management processes.
