Kissimmee, FL (onsite 4 days per week) remote Friday
Long Term Contract - W2 Only

Role Overview / Description

The team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for premier vacation brands. The technology organization is responsible for end-to-end digital and physical guest experiences across attractions, entertainment, food and beverage, resorts, transportation, merchandise, and digital initiatives including consumer-facing applications and voice-enabled platforms.

As part of the team, this Senior Software Engineer will participate in the transformation of a global platform by developing solutions to modernize a highly critical legacy application. The role applies practical knowledge of technologies and concepts to software engineering projects while providing technical guidance, oversight, and subject matter expertise.

• Participate in large development projects comprised of multiple components, overseeing project teams and being accountable for execution and delivery of a robust solution
• Develop highly innovative and large software solutions that meet specifications and significantly impact future developments
• Design components for major software development projects and develop specifications for each
• Interact and coordinate deliverables with other technical groups across the organization
• Serve as a senior-level technical resource providing technical guidance and oversight

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable software systems and components
• 3+ years of Maximo-specific development experience
• Experience designing and developing both web and mobile applications using object-oriented analysis and design
• 3+ years of cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience designing and documenting inbound and outbound JSON-based RESTful APIs and implementing them within a security framework such as OAuth
• 3+ years of Python, JavaScript, and Java development
• Excellent understanding of design patterns and modern, highly scalable application development
• Very strong communication and verbal skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to an evolving landscape

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Maximo Application Server (MAS) 8+
• IBM Maximo Administrator or Deployment Professional certification
• Track record of delivering quality projects on schedule
• Experience with analytics and dashboard tooling including Tableau and Helix
• Exposure to AI development tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and Zed
• 3+ years of database programming including SQL queries, PL/SQL, and schema design for Oracle 19c or higher
• .NET development experience in C#
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field and/or related certification

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 17 years equivalent work experience
