The goal of this position is to provide hands-on work experience in a professional office setting. The Mechanical Engineering Intern engages in work assignments, projects and activities of varying complexity which are structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level. Essential Functions Assist in the completion of programs on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical specifications, and customer requirements Initiate and produce all technical input for product literature, decals, technical manuals Work under the direction of the engineering manager, maintenance supervisor, and maintenance planner Learn trouble shooting techniques and solve defined engineering problems under guidance Work closely with production managers on maintenance scheduling and production outages Assist in reliability projects Assist in safety implementation projects Review and revise department JSA with assistance from maintenance supervision Assist in the troubleshooting of sustaining engineering production issues Perform basic CAD functions as required Salary: $15.00 - $15.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr Tokai Carbon GE LLC
