Marshfield Clinic – Archive is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within Marshfield Clinic Health System – Marshfield Children’s, a Wisconsin-based pediatric care provider within a large, integrated health system. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered pharmacy services to children and families across central and northern Wisconsin, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of multidisciplinary care teams. You will be responsible for verifying and dispensing medications, optimizing pharmacotherapy for pediatric patients, and ensuring safe, accurate, and evidence-based medication use in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As a Pharmacist in our collaborative, patient-first culture, you will review medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, route, potential interactions, allergies, and duplications, making clinical recommendations to providers when needed. You will counsel patients and families on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence, tailoring education to the unique needs of children and caregivers. You will monitor medication therapy, interpret lab values relevant to drug therapy, and participate in medication reconciliation to support safe transitions of care. You will contribute to clinical protocols, medication-use evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives that support continuous improvement and innovation in pediatric care. This role offers the opportunity to participate in interprofessional rounds, collaborate on care plans for complex pediatric cases, and support evidence-based practices through formulary management, therapeutic substitution, and guideline implementation. You may also precept or mentor pharmacy learners and support staff, contributing to education and professional development within the department. Within our integrated health system, you will work with supportive leadership that values integrity, compassion, and teamwork. You will help maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Responsibilities include overseeing medication preparation and distribution, ensuring accurate compounding and labeling, and maintaining appropriate documentation in the electronic health record and pharmacy systems. You will assist with inventory management, including ordering, storage, and handling of medications, controlled substances, and pediatric-specific formulations, while following all safety and security procedures.
