Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable  Pipe Welder to join our fabrication team. Work is performed in a  shop environment and includes welding on  carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-alloy piping .

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform  TIG, MIG, and Flux Core welding on various types of pipe.
• Follow detailed  isometric drawings, weld maps, and fabrication instructions .
• Prepare pipe and components by cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning.
• Conduct fit-up and alignment of piping systems using clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform  quality welds that meet ASME and project-specific standards.
• Participate in  visual inspections, weld testing, and rework as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area following all safety protocols.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment with proper care and maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with fitters, QA/QC, and shop leadership to meet project deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in  pipe welding (preferably ASME-certified).
• Proficiency in  GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and Flux Core welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret  blueprints and isometric drawings .
• Strong understanding of welding symbols, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Must pass  weld tests in accordance with ASME Section IX.
• Good math skills and ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, square, levels).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASME Section IX welding certifications (or ability to obtain)
• OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Certification
• Experience with  Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, and kneel
• Comfortable working in a noisy, industrial environment
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
