Senior Director Informatics Systems

As a member of the organization's Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for all Informatics, data, and reporting functions across the organization. You will translate the organization-wide strategy, establish your teams' strategy, lead and manage them. You will partner with stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure optimal performance of the Electronic Medical Record system, as well as accuracy and timeliness of operational reports. You will lead Informatics governance processes.

This is not an IT department focused role - it is Informatics, reporting, and analytics within a healthcare and EMR space.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Larkspur Office

By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Set, improve, and update Informatics strategies that support the organization's strategic plan and mission
• Lead the Informatics team, ensuring performance and responsiveness to organization needs
• Utilize organization's Informatics Systems to gather data, design practical solutions, and drive operational improvements
• Lead the Informatics Governance processes and ensure full alignment with senior and executive leadership
• Ensure Electronic Medical Records system performance fully supports clinical and operational teams
• Guide Informatics team to implement and maintain best practices, presenting and rolling out initiatives across the organization
• Partner with organization senior leadership to prioritize investment effort for highest impact & return, as well as alignment with organization strategy
• Lead your Informatics Trainer to deliver highest quality education in a timely and customer-centric manner
• Manage Informatics and Data Reporting team members to highest degree of excellence
• Own comprehensive organization-wide data-management and reporting strategy

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervises Clinical Informatics Manager (plus 2 Informatics staff)
• Supervises Data Analyst, Information Systems (2 Data Analysts)

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field
• 15 years of IT experience, of which 10 years of leadership experience
• Experience in Informatics Systems
• Experience overseeing an Electronic Medical Records system, EPIC preferred
• Experience in healthcare, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Epic certification Dorothy/Comfort, preferred

Pay Range: $175K - $260K annually
